D. A. Powell: 2025-26 Chapbook Contest Winner for Tricks (poetry)
D. A. Powell’s books include Repast (Graywolf, 2014) and Useless Landscape or A Guide for Boys (Graywolf, 2012). He is also the author of a number of chapbooks, including Atlas T (Rescue Press, 2000) and Low Hanging Fruit (Foundlings Press, 2022). His honors include fellowships from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation, a National Book Critics Circle Award, a California Book Award, the Shelley Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America and the John Updike Award from the American Academy of Arts & Letters. He has taught at Stanford, Harvard, University of Iowa, UT-Austin, Portland State University and, for the past twenty years, University of San Francisco where they always razz him.

Daniel Uncapher: 2025-26 Chapbook Runner-Up for American Pomology (hybrid/prose)
Daniel Uncapher is a PhD candidate in Literature & Creative Writing at the University of Utah with an MFA from Notre Dame, where he was a Nicholas Sparks Fellow. A queer and disabled North Mississippian, his work has appeared in The Sun, The Georgia Review, The Kenyon Review, Cincinnati Review, Chicago Review, and others. He received the 2024 Ninth Letter Award for Creative Nonfiction and has been supported by scholarships to Bread Loaf, Tin House, and Kenyon Review.

Robert Long Foreman’s work has won a Pushcart, has been cited six times in Best American Essays, and has appeared in magazines like The Missouri Review, AGNI, Kenyon Review Online, and Beloit Fiction Journal. His most recent books are WEIRD PIG and I AM HERE TO MAKE FRIENDS. Robert lives near Kansas City and has a website that’s called www.robertlongforeman.com.
